Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Overview
At Equish (a product of Equish Edge LLP), we strive to ensure a seamless stock gifting experience. This policy outlines the circumstances under which refunds are issued and how cancellations are handled.
2. Refund Eligibility
Refunds may be issued in the following scenarios:
- Failed Transactions: If your payment was deducted but the gift was not created due to a technical error on our end, a full refund (including the convenience fee) will be processed automatically.
- Duplicate Payments: If you were charged multiple times for the same gift, the duplicate amount will be refunded in full.
- Unclaimed Gifts: If the receiver does not claim the gift within 30 days, the gift amount is automatically refunded to the sender's original payment method. The convenience fee is non-refundable in this case.
- Payment Gateway Errors: If the payment was deducted but our payment partner (Cashfree) reports a failure, the amount is refunded automatically within 5-7 business days by the payment gateway.
3. Non-Refundable Scenarios
Refunds will not be issued in the following cases:
- Claimed Gifts: Once a gift has been successfully claimed and the stocks have been credited to the receiver's demat account, the transaction is irreversible and no refund can be issued.
- Incorrect Receiver Details: If you shared the gift certificate or access code with the wrong person, and they successfully claimed it, Equish is not liable for a refund.
- Market Value Changes: The value of gifted stocks may fluctuate based on market conditions. Equish is not responsible for any loss in value after the stocks are purchased.
4. Cancellation Policy
Gift transactions cannot be cancelled once the payment has been successfully completed. This is because:
- The gift is immediately registered in our system and a certificate is generated.
- The funds are held in escrow pending the receiver's claim.
- The receiver may claim the gift at any time within the 30-day validity period.
If you no longer wish for the gift to be claimed, you may wait for the 30-day expiry period, after which the gift amount (minus convenience fee) will be automatically refunded.
5. Convenience Fee Refund
The convenience fee charged at the time of gift creation is:
- Fully refundable in case of failed transactions or duplicate payments (errors on our side).
- Non-refundable for unclaimed gifts that expire after 30 days, as the service (certificate generation, payment processing, escrow holding) was already provided.

7. How to Request a Refund
Most refunds are processed automatically. If you believe you are entitled to a refund that has not been processed, you can request one by:
- Emailing us at support@equish.in with the subject line "Refund Request".
- Including your order ID, registered email, and a description of the issue.
- Refund requests must be submitted within 30 days of the transaction date.
Our team will review your request and respond within 48 hours. If the refund is approved, it will be credited to your original payment method within 5-7 business days.
